I lived in QLD for 34 of my 48 years. Didn’t get bitten by a single spider.

Lived in Perth for 3. Same as above.

Moved to Canberra almost 5 years ago. On average, I’ll get bitten 6 or 7 times a year. Usually Wolf spiders (in clothing, around the house or their earthen burrows), but also 2 white tails. Fun.

To be honest I barely notice the wolf spider bites now (not that painful) but my wife got a massive on in her trackpants one day - she still has a mark a year later on her thigh.
