Cpc 925 Gps Xlt Goto

Folks thanks again for the advice on the EQ6 mount. This has led me to looking at something i can just plunk down and hopefully have fully goto. I was also going for another scope as well and i know that C9:25 xlt gets a great write up. What i am thinking is killing two birds with one stone. and going for the 9:25 GPS XLT GOTO.

Does anyone have this type of system. I know that scope is good but wish to find out how good the mount is and would it also be any good for astro shots as well.

I do eyeball astronomy but also dabble not to good in the astrophotography side of this as well.

Cheers
Ian

Hi Ian.

I have the 9.25 XLT OTA on EQ6 with SynScan (Goto) and it's a great outfit.

Don't know a great deal about the CPC range but imagine the fork mount presents a challenge as far as long exposures and field rotation is concerned

I'm sure it would be fine on planets, but DSO might be trickier.

Also, how does it go pointing up at zenith? How's the clearance with the mount?

Sorry I can't be of more help.
