Very nice Aljo
Full frame picks up a lot of light. Is that in Melbourne or out of town somewhere? Also that focal length is odd for Nikon glass. Is that one of the Nikkor zooms?

Best

Hi JA,

Thanks very much. I only recently got the camera and so far I am very happy with it.

Yes, you are correct the lens that I am using is the Nikkor 24-120mm f4. I have been chasing some faster primary lenses and decided to try a few old school M42 (threaded) lenses to keep the costs down. Hope to have them shortly.

I'd be interested to see how you go as that zoom is reasonably sharp even wide open at f/4, slightly better at f/5.6, with an acceptable degree of coma especially towards the long end of zoom. Older primes may not best it as from memory it has a few ED as well as aspherical elements.

Anyway good luck.

Thanks JA,

I am curious too. I will see how they go I guess. As the M42s are so cheap, my thinking is that it is was worth doing some experimenting with a few of them.
