Home Alone...

Kate has taken Jacob and Eliza to see the monster trucks at Gosford, so once Abbey is in bed i'm home alone for a few hours at least..

The scope is out, was going to try and capture some Saturn for something different, but there's a change coming and I don't know how long these clear skies will last. The seeing is usually rotten ahead of a change as well :/

ah well, if it clouds over i'll watch the last episode of Band of Brothers on DVD and eat junk food with the laptop on my lap browsing the internet

Abbey is already in bed asleep.. I've had a look at Saturn, already too far north and the seeing wasn't good.

The change isn't coming until tomorrow so I'll give Jupiter a go later..

DVD it is!

Enjoy, Mike! It was cloudy here earlier. I've just finished watching a movie with Lyn and the girls (Sister Act)... now I'm feeling like I'm ready for bed, but I should go out for a look to see if things have cleared...

Well that didn't take long... some sort of high cloud... alpha centauri and Acrux (I guess) are the only two stars I can see here... so sleep sounds good!
