NGC55, the String of Pearls

NGC55, the String of Pearls, 6.5 mly away in Sculptor.

This is a HaRGB image. The Ha data was added to highlight the bright pink starburst regions.

Imaged from my backyard.

ASIAIR, AZEQ6 , Skywatcher 10” newt , ASI2600MM, ZWO filters.

Processed in Pixinsight.

I know this one well, feel like I've been there!

Have found this galaxy impossibly difficult to get right, especially with Mike mentoring

It should have an overall blue caste, at least that is what my data has revealed.
