NGC 6559 Nebula

Captured NGC 6559 Nebula a few nights ago for the first time , located in Sagittarius adjacent to M8
The AP weakest link in my rig is definitely the scope and mount , my 2600MC OSC camera is worth more than the scope and mount combined but still happy what broad range of objects I can image.

Same set up
4 hours ( 60 x 4 minute dithered guided subs)
2600MC OSC
Processed in Startools V1.7 OSC Narrowband Bi colour

Original Synthetic Luminance version and a couple of Bi colour SHO versions in the colour matrix

Comments welcome
Thanks

Enjoyed imaging this one for the first time
I read an old Sky and Telescope magazine on line which named it the Loretta Nebula but I don’t think that name has any scientific relevance

I know there’s no scientific value in the colours due to being preset blends but had a lot of fun doing them and surprisingly different bi colours do accentuate detail and contrast in the nebulas

I grew up in the 60’s and 70’s but my processing had no reference to my age or the era I grew up in
Thanks

A different set of compositions for this object Martin that catch the eye and draw ones attention. The detail in the nebula has come out very well.

Rodney
Thanks for your comment
The noise floor was a little higher than usual for this capture, but not too much of a concern
Startools has some good options for OSC Narrowband data including Bi colour, something which wasn’t available years ago
Cheers
Martin
