Free Software

G'Day,
Some of you may already know about this site, anyway for those that don't here you go.They give away a free prog every day,it could be a Utility,Game,Paint prog etc.I think it's work checking out each day,
http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/
todays give away is a PDF to Jpg converter, not my cup of tea, but someone might be interested, you have only 18 hrs to download it.
These other 2 progs are good as well. I have mentioned them before on another thread.
http://www.iobit.com/ This one checks your security.and any problems you may have with your computer plus more
http://www.ccleaner.com/ This one cleans all the junk on your hard drive.
I have been using the above progs for a few months now and have had no problems.and of course they are both free for personnel use.
Cheers
Arthur

Free lunch? no way....

The utility itself is very useful... but those guys... I mean I know there is no such thing as a free lunch, but still..... they are just trying to sell a real thing with sneking in a demo version (there is a watermak "demo mode" across the resulting image and resolution is reall bad, you can not read at all) and that really sucks...

G'Day,
Did you follow the instructions on how to unzip and then run the .exe? if you don't do that then it turns into just a Demo,if you follow the instructions you should have no problems.

I did, and after the installation (or during, I do not remember any more) the thing went home and confirmed that I have "free" copy... But all I have is a demo.

G'Day,
I just downloaded it and it worked for me, did you put the activate key in?
should look like this AQBDJH-RWKXS-VE63N-NYFVD-WDXKZ-CVC67 it's a little
window with a key,it may have been hidden behind another window. OK do
this uninstall it,then go to where you saved the orginal download and setup again.WATCH for a small window with a Yellow key, it has the number on it.When you start the install dont forget to Register it with the code number
Cheers

CCleaner , is great, I used that on one of the childrens computers, and it went instantly from behaving like a 386 on valium running XP, to the machine I bought only 3 months ago...

Its pretty good...
