What inflation?

I brought a 10.5mm TV plossl in the late 1980s at Bintel for $159: I see that an 11mm plossl can now be purchased there for $159.

Now I can understand why my hand shook as I handed over the money!

How things have changed. Back then, I was deep in debt paying off my house at 12.5% interest; now I am comfortable in retirement.

All's well that ends well.

Ah the memories.

And a year and a half later, interest rates hit 17% for those with loans from Aussie banks, and 22% for those with loans from foreign banks.

And Meade eyepieces cost a fortune in Australia - something like three times the US price.
Cheers,
Renato
