Good seeing tonight (Monday) predicted

BOM shows a large high pressure airmass sitting over southeast australia, should make for great seeing tonight everywhere from Melbourne to north coast of NSW.

I'm hoping for another good night here too, might try and get a new image of Saturn with DSLR and Vixen LV4mm projection.

Bluescope, looks like you've got the next high , the one that's going to get here around Wednesday. Should be good.

Just gone sunset, sitting out here on our back verandah, clear sky, not a breath of wind. aah this is the life :-)

Well, I just came in from setting up the 20" scope, just took a sneak preview at M42, and E, F AND G snapped into view. Sirius was elongated with a definite hint of the Pup, so it would seem you might just be right, Bird!

Have to agree the seeing was very good tonight, I was imaging M83 and it was very still and clear.
Hope all you planetary imagers have a great morning.

Cheers

well the seeing was very good around 4.30am, but I didn't count of the fog rolling in... we had a real pea-souper this morning, sigh.

It cleared nicely for me, seeing looked very nice at 1am after I finished doing some work, but wanted to get an hour or so of sleep before getting up and imaging.

At 3am it was still pretty good (processing now) but started deteriorating a bit after 3:45am. Temperatures dropped sharply too, was about 11.5deg.. nice and chilly.
