Some old stuff

Cleaning some back up drives I came across some old photos.

Crago in nov 2007.

My first ever astro photo. M42 of course.

It was done with a nikon coolpix on Monte's finder scope on top of his FSQ if I recall. That's what got me the bug.

And my first little 5" newt. Used that scope for years. Also had an orion ED80 piggy backed on top as a guider. Great little refractor.

Crago is the ASNSW's observatory at bowen mountain. It housed a 16" at the time.

Mike
well Orion was the only familiar constellation to me coming from the NH. Still upside down though. I found eta shortly after looking up. There was a time I could see the milkyway from my backyard and eta was a bright patch. It was all bush back then.
