Toucam....where

do you get it?

Dumb question perhaps, but where are they sold? I've seen so many references to modded Toucams and a very scary siteshowing the insides for those keen to do it themselves -which I'm as attracted to as amateur dentistry on myself.

yeh Matt Lovell in S.A does them. You can get the normal ToUcam's off him as well, or off ebay.

A Total of $155AUD Bought me the 840K toucam pro , eyepiece adapter and IR filter, including postage. Everything was delivered in less than 7days and it all works fine.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I'm looking at experimenting with guidecams hence my question. I do have an Orion Star Shoot Solar System camera which might do the trick. However, most of the info I've found to date suggests that only the Deep Sky camera will work. Seems like almost no one uses it (unlike the DPI) which makes it harder to find useful information on it.

Has anyone used the Orion to guide with?

Pete - the Starshoot has been discontinued. It was made by SAC Imaging and as they are now pretty much defunct then so is the range.

I just received my Phillips SPC900NC webcam from Singapore ..... bought it on eBay for Aud$124.95 plus Aud$17 delivered to my door in about 4 days. Just found this from the same dealer ..... a little cheaper it seems.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/New-Philips-S...QQcmdZViewItem

Am waiting on a 1.25" eyepiece adapter from the states - cost Aud$21.55 plus US$3.00 postage.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI...._promot_widget

Both these dealers sell the ToUcam ProII 840k as well. Camera slightly cheaper ... adapter same price.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Steve
