Jupiter Saturn Conjunction 19-Dec-2020

Taken approx 21:13pm on 19-Dec-2020. Separation 0.28 degrees.

The best single frame of seventeen 100 msec exposures. Blue filter.

Typical FWHM was 4 sec arc due to being so low in the sky and half a degree from a cloud bank. Seeing for that particular frame was 3.5 sec arc FWHM.

FLI PL16803 on 20 inch PlaneWave. Focal length 3.5 metres, 0.55 sec arc/pixel. Not deconvolved, but gentle wavelet sharpening (increase in contrast about 50%)

We hit the western slew limit for our scope three seconds after this exposure was taken.
