Will Barska BlueLine binoculars be a good starting point for me?

I'm an amateur astronomer and also dabble in terrestrial viewing/bird watching (probably 50/50 split)

Looking for something I can grab and go, that will give me decent results for planetary and lunar viewing

DSOs a bonus

Would I need a tripod for these and if so, which one?

Thanks

Can't advise what tripod for the binos, but you will definitely need one, they will weigh somewhere around 7 or 8 kg. Far too heavy to hand hold for more than a few seconds and never be able to hold them steady either.
The field of view will be good for most nebulae and larger bright galaxies but the magnifications will not be enough to show any more than a small disc of the major planets though you will be able to see the brighter moons of Jupiter and Saturn as pinpoints of light.
For terrestrial views and birding you may be better served by a pair of 10 X 50 binos, hand holdable and easier to manoeuvre with a wider FOV.
