Elephants in the Mist-report from Kabini

In December 2006 I had the opportunity to visit the Kabini game sanctuary near Mysore India.

Came away with some images and one unforgettable memory-a tiger actually crossed the fire trail just in front us. It moved way to quickly for me to get a picture. But it was one of those very rare experiences..unfortunately with the population dwindling will become increasingly rarer

Its a darn pity that though I was born there I have not seen much of India. Every time I go back I am inevitably detained by meet and greets with relatives. Next time I hope to visit such a safari. Can you belive I have yet even to see the Taj Mahal. Thanks for the photos Narayan gives me something to look forward to.

Regards

Take Vegemite, wear a cap backwards and say G'day Mate a lot and they will just treat you like another Aussie tourist, and you will get to see the inside of the best hotels....er....isn't that what visiting foreign countries is all about....hotel lobbies?
