Wow!!!

hello everyone,
last night was exceptional. i got my first look at omega centari. being at 32 degrees lat i seldom get the chance to observe this far south. until last night m13 was my favorite.

also i bagged C/2007 E2 (Lovejoy) just before dawn. nice work Terry.

Hi there huckabuck, glad you enjoyed Omega Cent ... I personally almost never go outside without observing it if it's visible, even just for a minute or two, I am always blown away by the sheer size of it.

Good work on seeing comet Lovejoy too, that shows dedication! I saw it last weekend, and with my days off being Monday to Wednesday this week I'll be doing some late night obseving again (weather permitting) and I'm very keen to view it again. It's almost a full magnitude brighter now I think so I'm interested to see what change may be visible.

comet Lovejoy was VERY hard in the coming daylight but it looks like it will be perfect for me in about 30 days. near the meridian AND center of the milkyway
