A Dark Nebula for a change

The bottom part of it anyway. The red blob is RCW 71.

Good one Bert! The dark nebulae are often overlooked.

Very nice Bert. The fields around it are very rich in stars as well.

Cheers

Yes that is beta Cru and the Jewel Box. I completely forgot to say the dark nebula was the Coal Sack. It is also the largest in apparent size and naked eye visible as there are plenty of stars to delineate it.

Great shot Bert. A nice red nebula at top middle too in the dark nebula, I know of it will look up its RCW number tomorrow.
