I never image towards north north east in the sky over Newcastle. Luckily i have a very dark sky to the east over the Pacific, reasonable darkness to the south ( and thankfully the Morisset Psych Hospital is about to be closed) and west. Still getting SQM readings of 20.9 overhead.
The light pollution map, which shows years worth of data, clearly shows the deterioration and spread outward from the major towns.
