Saturn 17th March

I spent Saturday evening at Chris Thomas' property near Benarkin.
Wes, who usually frequents AstroRons came along as well.
Conditions were exceptionally good, we judged it to be 8/10 seeing.
I wish I'd bought along the battery to the camcorder to take advantage of it. But it was left at home along with the SLR.

I finally got to put my Astrofest $5 special 4mm ep through it's paces. It was pretty good on it's own, but barlowed to make 625x was great. And believe it or not ( I have witnesses to this), the views at 1250x weren't too bad either.
It put Chris's $130 5mm to shame, it really did.

Like I said, I wish I could have used the old Panasonic camcorder to get something better.
This image is from an AVI taken with the Canon Powershot. 94 frames total, Registax 3 was used for stacking.

Yep. It's there now. Added at 9.41pm

And there's the 2nd one too.

Although they are both quite small when you click on 'em.

Good shots, nettie
