You did a great job on this. Colours are typical to the object, good saturation as reflected with the rich star colour and as you stated, you were beginning to pull out some detail to the dust lanes.
Not easy to do at this FOV...
Your little newt is not so little in comparison to other comercial newts of this aperture... imo!! Can't beat a high performance home made job!
Pretty darn smooth considering the amount of subs you used.
I was out last night after the same object but had sucker skies.... you know, setup, begin and you loose a guide star. Walk outside and there's nothing but cloud. Pack up go inside, walk outside and there's stars... setup, begin, go inside for a while, try and get focus to drop to at least below 2.0 FWHM with little luck from remote computer... walk outside to check collimation and the ol' clouds feed back in....
I gave up at 2am....
Soooo, this is a beaut any way.
