M83 - First image

Really enjoying getting back into imaging. My old camera is starting to show signs of its use or maybe I am imagining things. I only have a scope to take medium nebulas but seeing has been good over the last couple of weeks I tried this galaxy as my horizon is a bit limited in my backyard.

I think down the track I will look at saving my final images on some website after placing titles and stuff.

Equipment:
TS APO Triplet 480/80
HEQ5 unmodded
Rebel XSI / 450D unmodded
APT - PHD2
Stacking and minor processing - SiriL
Final Processing - GIMP.

40 Lights 120sec
40 Darks
40 Flats
40 Biases (spelling for the sake of SiriL)

Not a bad effort but enough to let me take more.

The framing is perfect for a desktop background. Just slightly out of polar alignment.
