an over cooked chook and gibblets

NGC 3766 and Lambda Centauri slightly overcooked for taste.

2h17m gain 201 with ASI294mc on a RASA8 and titan50 mount from the doghouse observatory. life at F2 does have its privileges and disadvantages taken in bortle6/7 skies

Hi David, big field of view.. I also have the 8 and the chook just about fills the field! My camera is the ASI183MC-P. But nice going! Don't you just love this scope?

I do but I don't have a level image plane at the minute. Somehow I need to adjust the camera. I get focus on the middle and one side, the other is out of focus slightly . But if you redirect the attention to somewhere else I don't notice

I am thinking of removing a rubber spacer I installed initially to get optimum distance.

Can't test now as we have a week's worth of cloud.

Hi David, sorry to hear about your woes! I purchased the Starzona Filter Slider, installed and have never looked back, I have a little bit of tilt in one of the corners and that's about it, hardly noticeable with the untrained eye in a heavy star field other times I just crop. Just finished my chook and have collected enough data, just need to refine the processing as I'm finding it difficult ...eyes getting confused!
