Great start Rob! It's on my list also, hopefully (clouds permitting).

This is the sort of image that impresses me a lot. An image like this just 5 years ago would take a Tak or an AP or high end scope of some sort and the best camera on the market to capture. In short $45K+ worth of gear.

Amazing the development that has occurred.

Lovely image. Only wish here would be if you moved the framing up a bit and to the left you would have gotten NGC6164 (the petal shaped neb) and the twisty bits on the right fully into the frame. A field flattener looks like its needed as well to take it to the next level.

Great image though and superb detail.

Greg.

It is - considering the only bits of gear I have purchased new here are the ZWO Camera, EAF Focuser and EFW (around $2500), and everything else is like 15-20years old, it's pretty good.

I had almost given up on the 80ED for the season, and was looking to swap back to the 10" SCT to go looking for galaxies - a few people posted this (I had never seen or heard of it before). Maybe next year.

There is a WO 0.8x reducer/flattener in there, but I need to tweak it a bit more - it's out by a a few mm I think, but I need to buy some narrow spacers to try and get it closer.
