Couple of HDR Images from TAL200k

Both these images were the result of using EasyHDR on a set of exposures for each, consisting of 1,2,4,8 and 16 minutes at an ISO of 200.

Omega Cent. 1.3MB

Carina 1.8MB
http://members.optusnet.com.au/~avandonk2/CAR_hdr2.jpg

Details
Canon 5DH, TAL200k, Hutech focal reducer (7887) so FL 1790mm at F9, no filters. ICNR on.
I used ImagesPlus to convert from RAW to TIFF and correct for flats. Then used digital development
to simultaneously get a set of five images with suitable brightness range.
Then used RegiStar to produce a set of aligned images of the same dimensions.
EasyHDR was then used to produce an LDR tiff and PhotoShop to adjust levels.
There is some noise but this can be fixed by taking several sets and median averaging the resultant LDR images in RegiStar.
I think this method shows a lot of promise for targets with a large dynamic range.
Note the sky glow and light pollution is also eliminated.

Bert

Focus was a bit out on the OC image.

Nice star images Bert, love the detail in OC, however the colour doesn't suit me.

Its good how Omega doesnt burn out as it can when well exposed. It would be great to try HDR work on M42 too.
