I will be doing this mod to my dob when it arrives. If anyone is interested the code for this product is

Ebony Star 4552 - 50

The -50 is the finish which is called touchstone 50 " A pebbled texture with the look and feel of coarse-grained sand"

The company is Wilsonart I think..

So did you actually find a source stocking this? I heard that its no longer available. I recall pricing it maybe two years ago at a local supplier and it was about $85 for a standard sheet.

Have a look at any laminate the has a 50 texture. It will work just as well on teflon. Ebony Star is just a brand that happened to fill the gap but any laminate with that finish will work.

A good source is your local custom kitchen builder/supplier. They often have left overs for VERY little.

I bought a sheet about 3 months ago from Parburys for about $95. Parbury supply laminates and other kitchen products and have branches in all the big cities, just look up the yellow pages or online. I tried my local kitchen builder but ended up going to Parbury here in Perth.

Parburys in Brisbane have quoted me a similar price for the Wilsonart Ebony Star.
