What is a country code

Hi All.

I'm in the process of ordering something from the States, and they keep asking for a country code for anyone outside US or Canada.

Now they have my postal code, but I, for the life of me don't know what they mean by country code, could anyone please help here.

61 (Our ISD code for Australia) is most probably what they want Leon.

EG: A Sydney number might be, to them:

+61 2 9599 9999

They use the "+" to indicate the international dial-out code for the country they are in, and substitute it for that code themselves when they call Australia. If I remember rightly they'll dial from a local phone over there: 001161295999999 to get to you.
