i should state how bright is 'quite bright' . it is like how long is a piece of string... anyway, if i reflect the green laser off a white wall, my eye hurts.

Hi Eric,

Just wanting to clarify: do you mean 5mW, or really mean 50MW??

Cheers,

Brian.

Hi Eric,

Not to ruin your sale, but thought it important to protect you and any Victorian buyers. 50mw Green Lasers are illegal in the state of Victoria.

And any green laser (5mw, 10mw etc) in Victoria has to be housed in a bracket attached to an Astronomical Telescope. This is the only way they are permitted to be used in Victoria.

Every other State and Territory in Australia (except W.A.) can use a green laser 'hand held'.

Just quoting the law to protect folks, sorry.

Of course we NEVER use our green lasers 'hand held' at SVAA nights or at Camp

That would be illegal, wouldn't it

Folks, I have the 10mw version and it puts a very bright green spot on trees and things about 5klms away! and spectators can see exactly what it is pointing at in the sky. Erics 50mw would eat mine!!!

Great for public nights to point out the sky.

Eric - The way I read that sticker is that it's advising users that this device outputs less than 50mw (> 50mw) so that it falls into a certain class of device. Is this correct?
