Rho Ophiuchi

Currently in Barcaldine for my final education placement. I took the bare minimum astro gear with me due to the amount of spare time I had. This is only the second outing with my camera in my 6 weeks here. School keeps me hella busy.

Anyways, I wish I had more data on this, I only got about 90 minutes total, few minutes of which I had to scrap due to wind and period error. It was nice to see the "good" side of the milky way again.

Canon 80D + Samyang 135mm F2.0
ISO 800 78x 1 min exposure
Skywatcher Star Adventurer

High Res here

Thanks,
Hyun

Looks great. I picked up a Samyang 135 from the classifieds recently so I'm keen to try it out.

It certainly is a performer (the lens). The dark skies here help a bit as well

That’s really good Tony. I wouldn’t worry about the 90 min exposure. Bright objects like this don’t need long exposures. The colour is good and you have resolved some close pairs of stars. Nice framing. All in all it’s an image to be well satisfied with.
