Milky Way w/Nikon 18-55 mm Ed lens

Hi All,
We finally had some clear sky at night and ive been waiting to have a go at the Milky Way with a Lens I aquired for this purpose, Its an Nikon ED 18-55 mm Lens with an adaptor for the Canon EOS300D, seems to work O.K. good colour, this is my first try, so hopefully ill get the focus a bit sharper next time, Canon was piggybacked on the LX200 which with an MX7C was use to guide.

5 x 6 Min. at ISO400, DF removed, Lens set at 18 mm

cheers.........Jim

MilkyWay

Hi All,
Many thanks for the comments, and Eric, ive pushed the Pix a bit further and marked the well known objects on it, also rotated it so it looks like what one would see at night, improved ???, im posting one I took of this object at a different time of year, but using the Canon (non ED) Lens, its nice but not as sharp.

cheers...................Jim
