Devastation - South Coast NSW Fires
Currently standing on the decking of my weekender at Narrawallee looking north at Conjola 7km away and all I can see is a huge orange glow from the out of control fires that have ravaged the area over the last 3 days
Apparently 89 properties have been lost and the fire is burning towards the coast in a north east direction
Luckily we have an inlet separating our community from Conjola but we are not out of the woods by no means , especially if the wind changes direction over the next two days
My thoughts go out to the community of Conjola and surrounding areas
Keep safe everyone in our region and don’t wait around, leave straight away if you feel threatened by fire
The RFS may open the Princes Highway may be opened by the morning in a restricted manner
