Stars are disappearing, not because of smoke

Apparently 100 red stars have disappeared, leaving no trace.

Thanks Glen for posting this link, very interesting to read about the missing stars, more research over the years should reveal what happened to them.

Its an interesting point... after Catalogue X is produced, at some later date does anyone check on the stars catalogued... lo and behold some have vanished.

I'm wondering though if they haven't been misplaced...
