CAD Drawings 10" GSO Dob or Measurements

Hi All.

Before I reinvent the wheel does anyone have detailed measurements of the GS0 10" dob and or a CAD drawings that they can share. Looking to draw up a Base like Rob's. Perhaps someone has done this as well. Care to share.

Ideally want to develope a Parmateric solid model where all the measurements are based constrained by the Optical parameters. Mirror size, Secondary size, optical axis, Focal length etc. That way one simply changes these basic parameeters to generate a customized plan for a new base.

Fahim, I designed and build my dobson from scratch, and I have Autocad and Solidworks drawings for this project (it is still not finished of course, and it will never be, BTW).

Bojan,

I am trying to learn Parametric Modeling, I have Alibre Express (its free without some features), and I understnad the basic concepts but its bit tough. I have manged to Create the Tube Rings, and the Side Panels. Then I found Assembly was not so easy to do. So I am going back to the orginal Tuberings and creating the sidepanels in the part itself.
I would appreciate any drawings you can send me. I am sure others here could benefit from them as well.

I'm also interested by the detailed measurements of the GS0 10" dob as I want to design an equatorial table for this dob. So do you manage to get this measurements ? I can use either Solidworks or AutoCAD as CAD softwares ...

Unfortunately no. I bought a LX90 and am distracted with that. Also I am selling my dob so unless I decide to keep it I will not pursue this.
With a EQ table the main measurement really is to find the center of gravityI suggest you email Tom Hole http://www.tomhole.com/EQ%20Platform.htm
he made a platform for his XT10 telescope which is a duplicate of the GSO 10".
