Moon, 20th April

This is one of my first attempts at astrophotography. I used my ETX-125 (F/L 1900mm) and Nikon F80 SLR. I had Kodak HD200 film and 1/45th shutter. I'm quite pleased with it but I've got lots to learn.

Jonathan thats excellent, film and all, so where is some more?
Did you develope the film? When last in Sydney I nearly picked up a colour film developing kit..I will next time I have not taken any 35mm yet, sorry there is something in the camera but given my early results with the 300d I never got them developed because I thought they would be crook... must have a go at it...alex

That's a great first attempt Johnathon, especially with film!

I had a go at post-processing it (hope you don't mind).. it's personal preference but I think it shows a little more detail.

Thanks for the positive feedback people.
Alex, I just got it developed by Agfa at Big W then scanned the negative into the computer. I didn't play round processing it much because I don't really know what I'm doing and I didn't have time. I think Iceman got better detail out of it, I might have a go processing it myself over the weekend.
I took a few other photos projecting with an eyepiece but they were blurred because of tracking, focus and movement from the cable release. I'll try again this weekend.
