Windows Vista LapTop for auto guiding and a CCD Camera

I own a 8" Celestron CPC and I'am looking to buy a LapTop computer to use for my SkyAlign software that came with the scope and also for my future purchase of a CCD camera. I read alot of conflicting stories on the new Microsoft Windows Vista operating system not working well with new laptops and the software for SkyAlign and CCD camera's in general. So I was considering buying a laptop with Windows XP instead. Does anyone have any info. based on their use of Windows Vista on their laptops that they use for auto guiding of a telescope or a CCD camera?
Thanks,Roger

If all you can get is Vista Roger, my suggestion is to have a look around for a good secondhand one running 2000 or XP. There should be plenty of cheap ones getting around now.
