floating planetarium

In this weekend Australian is an article about the Queen Mary II, which carries 2600 passengers in luxury as they trip around the world. The vessel will be visitng Australai and NZ.

The article says that it contains the World's only planetarium at sea.

That's an interesting fact William, well spotted. I'd enjoy seeing that, though obviousy no chance of it happening in this lifetime.

I saw on tv once that the QE2 carries so much caviar on board that it holds around 10% of the total amount existing in the world at any given time.

If we get the 2 ships together (alas!) we could have caviar stargazing.

Perhaps I best stick to coke and corn ships...... much more affordable.

It did say that the QM2 serves 73 kg of lobster a day.

It's about time they got their act together and installed the world's first gyro-stabilised 18-inch Obsession.

Just imagine what the night sky looks like from the middle of the Pacific!
