I am reminded of an informative article about how the paperless office will never be achieved, and that if we invented paper today it would be regarded as the preferred miracle medium so much more advanced than electrons and silicon.

I saw a doco once on the Discovery channel re the US navy .... to make sure they have "back up" information should the computer systems go down, there is a complete copy of ALL technical, enginering, etc info that may possibly be required on board, in paper format.

On a modern battleship class vessel they stated this apparently equates to around 17 tonnes of documents.

The Paperless Society is alive and well!
(Not!)

Utube is the only reason I want to get broard band..
I recall years ago "the future" paperless society. So I had a little laugh seing a large semi heading North carrying only paper. I hope everyone takes a leaf out of the US Navy's book... we rely on these things a little too heavily.. have you been in a shop when the "computer is down" they cant even except your cash.
