Good luck, i don't hold much hope for tonight up this way, due to the onshore wind.

The seeing was pretty good all last night until just after 5:00 am when a change, with cloud came through. Wondered why Jupiter started shimmering badly in live view while waiting for the Red Spot to rotate into better view .

Just come in after a wasted hour and a half. Terrible seeing and transparency no good either.

On the weather report on Ch9 in Newcastle they warned of smoke haze in the Illawara area due to burn off activity. It is expected in the Sydney and Blue Mtns area tomorrow as mire burn offs take place, i think the RFS might have some info on where exactly but not sure.

Absolutely brilliant stable clear night tonight near Ulladulla south coast NSW
Just finished imaging the Tarantula Nebula with my 8” f5 and now doing Eta Carina
Moon passed horizon at 9.45pm
My 12” Goto dob in the front driveway has Jupiter in the eye piece of my 8mm ethos and the quality is superb even at 35 to 40 deg Alt , equatorial bands clear and defined and the GRS just in view

If I can stay awake I might image Jupiter in the early hours, see how we go

Cheers
