Quick & Dirty Lagoon & Triffid

Hi guys,

Been a while since I posted so thought I'd show off last nights session.

It's only 36 min exposure time currently. I spent most of the night imaging the Southern Pinwheel Galaxy but due to a software glitch only ended up getting a few images before I realised...

So to try and salvage the night I switched to the Lagoon nebula for a few quick shots. This is a quick stack and edit in PS with Levels and a small curve stretch.

Hoping to get to 2-3 hours on this target over the next few nights.

18 subs x 2 min @ 800 iso. (No Darks or Flats)
Skywatcher Evostar 72Ed
HEQ5 PRO
Canon 550Da

I hope you don't mind but I did a little colour balance to the image to remove the red tint in the image in photoshop. It's a smacking good image you've got there!

Not at all Tony,

I actually took a few darks last night and had a another quick go at processing. Alot cleaner now and color balance is much better I think.

Just got to figure out to scale it down to post on the forums without losing too much quality..
