Yeah but it doesn’t count when you access from home, then MLA, then cafe, then MLA, then home...every day with 5 different accounts for past 5 years Mike

(Well done though)

Congratulations Mike - your images inspired multitudes of two-legged beings from this blue rock floating through the vastness of...space, the final frontier, these are the voyages...damn it, I did it again.

Hi Mike,
Have been following your story for a few years now and no wonder you have so many hits. Like Ron says about the ordinary person as well as fellow astronomers.
You seem to pop up here and there and the other day theres a story in S&T magazine.
Being a fellow rocklifter (stonemason), but not in the league that you are, how's your back?? I crushed a disc last year and i thought that was it, but its slowly got better and now i use a machine for the the 50kg+ ones.
Also i miss the clear skies of southern yorke peninsula. Even when burn off time comes the water surrounding the block seemed to keep the skies clear. Might try to get to the block at easter.
Great website, you'll be on 4 million soon..
Cheers
Andy

Hi Andy

Yeah well been doing this game for a few years now I guess, so bound to find my ugly mug pop up occasionally That area of SA must have been nice for astro endeavours!

Re the stone lifting, although I probably lifted much less frequently than you have ...no I have no residual problems from my years of heavy stone lifting (been retired for coming up to 15 years now). I was always careful to use progressive overload and correct lifting technique and thus just kept getting stronger and stronger without injury (also resisted the temptation to take drugs, a big factor!), until at my peak in 2001, I could actually shoulder this 175kg stone 6 times in 90sec

Mike

That's a pretty impressive rock you're lifting!!!
I have never picked anything up like that especially 6times in 90 seconds.
I remember when I did my back in I had no help at the time and was doing scaffold work and lifted all the ironstone by myself.
I'll include a few pics around the time I hurt my back. No wonder....
Anyway getting off track a bit.
Keep up all those brilliant images and keep on discovering new objects.
Cheers
Andy
