Back after 12 months off

hi to everyone well dusted the POD off gave it a good clean out and took computer (iMac) apart and gave it a good blow out fired her up and it worked ahhh installed new scope I got for Xmas gave the G11 a overhaul and grease gave the Canon 450d modded a good clean hooked it all up and its running great sooo I am going to give it all a test run tonight to make sure guiding and focus is good feels good I have the Bug again I haven't been in it for 12 months and it is surprising how it all faired in the heat and cold no issues so far
lets see how we go when the sun goes down

Good to hear you're getting back into it, of course you know tonight is going to be cloudy now. Hope you're feeling rejuvenated by the break, seems a waste to have your set up and not be putting it to use.

Thanks Jeff I just come up from the Observatory all went well need to fiddle a bit with the spacing on the MPCC but is looking better might have a bit more of a play later be great when day light savings finishes more time down there .
I checked the guiding and did pretty darn good for 5min Subs using PHD 1 the camera or the coma corrector has some dust on it so I might re visit cleaning that but all in all pretty happy so far love winter

Sounds like you're finding the meaning of fun again. Must be heartening that guiding etc. is all working without too many dramas.

Yes I'm just down the road from you, well a few kms at least. Conditions weren't too bad after all last night, managed to get a scope out for a while. Remember we swapped a couple of 100m refractors a year or 2 ago.

Welcome back , great looking setup you have there and it really needs to be used .

Also , glad all the gear was easy to get going again ,, clear skies mate .
