Kieken, great purchase! Looks like you have just upgraded. How long have you had the other scope? What differences do you see between the two scopes in terms of quality of image?

Great to have someone on the forum from Belgium! Have you ever come to Australia or New Zealand?

That's enormouse Kieken, with the warmer weather coming on you should get some good use out of it. Keep us informed of your progress. Maybe you could post a few pics of your countryside in the photography section, it's always interesting to see where others live.

@Rodstar: I got my other scope (a 4.5" newton) for my birthday last year. A gift from my parents . Until now I haven't got a chance to test my new baby out (clouds ).

And yep, I've visited NZ 2 years ago. We (me and parents and sister) made a little trip that started in Christchurch and ended in Wanaka. The best vacation ever .

I picture of me during the trip

@Acropolite: I already have a few ideas what I can do when the weather is good . I'll make a few pictures next week, don't expect to much from it.

You should notice quite a difference Kieken, once the clouds clear.

Once you get the hang of its size, its just as easy to manouvre.

Portability/ingenuity makes for better viewing. Good luck with your new scope.

Enjoy "taking the plunge" with the new scope Kieken! Great shot of you on the bungy jump. You're a braver man than I!
