new star in southern cross

it would apear the beta cruxis has a companion!

i dont know how visible it is but theres a fair gap separating them (4")

Very interesting Ving!

Presumably it's not visible, otherwise it wouldn't be such a surprise, but it's interesting that it produces higher energy X-rays than beta crucis itself... wonder what it is?

My under standing that Beta Crux was/is known to be a multiple star system
anyway. Does this bring the total to 4?

I get a source error trying to access that link.

thx ving for information, so I just know what (flag-)problems for a few countries at the southern hemisphere,
such a trouble we in the North have avoided,
our stars are not double
