Some mountain and sea pics plus a couple of birds {no pelicans}

I was hoping to have a swagful of pics from a holiday down south but a week of consistent windy and overcast conditions put a dent in my hopes and plans Got a couple of images of King George sound {natural harbour near Albany WA} and the Anzac memorial atop of a hill that overlooks the harbour {I was hoping to get a nightscape with the Southern Cross and pointers but cloud was ever persistent}.Visited the Stirling ranges and Bluff Knoll , attempted to climb it but the weather was very rough and turned back 3/4 quarters of the way up {pus }, great views though here's a link to a U tube video of the view from the top http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJBe2ugi4Xo . Did a lot of bush/beachwalking and had these birds {Pacific gulls i think} as trusty companions while near the water.

Gez you sure get around Stuart! Lucky.

Nice shots. Looks like you could do with a grad filter though, bring out the depth of the clouds around the bluff

Roger.

Great Photos Stuart, looks very peaceful.
How do you guys put the "Frames" around your Photos ?
I'm sure I could do it with a bit of Copy & paste, but i assume there is an easy way to do it ?

I try to just wish it was more interstate/oversea's.Thanks for the tip about the filter, it was hard to get the settings right for the lighting it was a lot darker then what the final pics would suggest

Thanks Ian, yep there's plenty of great natural scenery in the area's I visited, the Stirling Ranges is certainly a unique place.There's quite a few methods to put borders around images, the easiest is to open up the image in PS go to the Image command select Canvas size , a pop up box will appear then adjust the size of the image {this will be your frame}, select a colour in the canvas extension Tab and press okay

PS: forgot to add in the ANZAC memorial image the tree in the foreground is a Pine tree from the Gallipoli peninsula

PSS: added a couple more pics of a beach that was perfect for snorkeling plus when I visited the wind and cloud had dis speared for a while only problem ...Blue Bottles...Ive never seen so many stingers washed ashore , wasn't to keen getting in the water
