Visit to South Island

We'll be over in the South Island meeting family next week for a few days - travelling around....
Any members in the area who what to catch up Re. astronomy/ spectroscopy let me know.

Ken if you're staying at the Hermitage at Mt Cook, they have a 12" dob on the local airstrip and they take small groups out at night in a minibus. You have to be a guest staying there. If you are lucky this is an incredibly dark site - I was able to photograph the gegenshein with a compact camera. If the moon is up try a landscape by moonlight.
