Lagoon Neb

Here's my first attempt at the Lagoon nebula with short subs and using my crappy lappy to stack. Had to put it onto my phone to edit it somewhat, it's not the greatest but it's a start.

Hi Karl, whilst I applaud your perseverance with this very slow scope, I can't
help wondering why you are not using the 130 Newt you have listed.
A scope that slow must surely be an exercise in frustration.

Assuming that you still have it, what is wrong with the HEQ5? Mine handled
my 8" Newt and finder scope, camera and electric focuser for years.

That's excellent that you managed that long fl ..Just get more and more...I ended up with about 3 hours of 30 second stuff for Lagoon I don't know how long the lappy would take but maybe 10 hours...that in Deep Sky Stacker.
And that star tools is not that hard to get reasonable results alomost letting it run thru with out touching anything or following its hints..like invert the star mask...but it seems to do wonders...and as you build up a bank of lagoons you stack the best … great effort if you can get that with that focal length now you are on your way.
