a quick saturn tonight

Quick Saturn tonight. the iphone is playing up and constantly trying to re focuss also it won't even look at Jupiter or Venus, all i get are searchlight bright blobs that won't resolve.

This time i used a 6.3mm eyepiece and the 2x barlow.
Pushed the contrast to get more ring detail, i think i pushed a bit too far but its a learning curve.
Really need a new mount (still saving Barry ) and a laptop so i can resurrect the toucam

That's a super duper result with the basic setup you are using.

Tony, if you keep practicing with your iPhone, you won't need your Toucam. That's a cracker of a shot, great job. I reckon you could have cranked the contrast even further by the looks of it. What scope are you using and did you take a video file to achieve this result? It's amazing what you can get with the technology available nowadays.

Way to go Tony.
With my equipment I doubt I could come near what you are doing.
Check out the Marlin awards and plan for a win in five years...you are a natural.
