Sigma 105 f1.4 Test Shot Milky Way

I didn,t purchase this lens for this purpose but I couldn,t resist. These are 6s shots ISO 6400 in camera NR on at f1.4 on a Canon 1DXMKII Stationary tripod.Saturation boosted in Picasa. On a tracked mount I think this may be a very interesting proposition

I have purchased one, hopefully arriving in the next few days. Sold my Canon 85mm LII F1.2 to make it happen....Will post some test results soon, but the vignetting in the images you have posted does have me a tad concerned.

Did you process for the vignetting? In LR and Photoshop its simply a slider to fix. Or perhaps flats if you want to try that route.

Apart from the vignetting it shows a lot of promise.

Greg.

No Greg I simply did a quick shot as clouds rolled in and thought it good to post with minimal processing .
