and for those cowboys!!!!

Take the ribbon from your hair, shake it loose and let it fall,
Layin' soft upon my skin. like the shadows on the wall.

Come and lay down by my side till the early morning light
All I'm takin' is your time. help me make it through the night.
I don't care what's right or wrong, I don't try to understand.
Let the devil take tomorrow. lord, tonight I need a friend.

every parent in the 60's was doing saying this

Mister Marvin Middle Class is really in a stew
Wond'rin' what the younger generation's coming to
And the taste of his martini doesn't please his bitter tongue
Blame it on the Rolling Stones.

I like most music, but recently listening to heavier / grungier stuff. I was thinking on the way home from work that even though i play this current album heaps, I cannot for the life of me remeber the words.

BUT, as a 4 year old having to sit in the back seat driving 2 1/2 hours to our shack, my parents used to listen to John Denver, Kris Kristofferson, Neil Diamond etc ....... and guess what..... i can sing all those old thunes that have been hammered into me????

So tonight I thought i would revisit the past

Don't know that I will
But until I can find me
The girl who'll stay
And won't play games behind me
I'll be what I am
A solitary man, solitary man
