Thumbs up McNaught, Crescent Moon and Venus

Hi all

Last night (20th January) this sight was magnificent, as the thin crescent moon and Venus combined with McNaught to give us a visual treat in the dusk glow.

Taken with the 350D + 28mm f/2.8 @ f/3.2, 1s exposure @ ISO200.

Thanks for looking.

Well done Mike. Is that one shot cropped or a couple stitched together? I'd love to see a higher res version!

I was trying for the same shot, but the dark conditions really test the Oly... the image was very noisy and disappointing. Must upgrade my camera one day!

Al.

Nice on Mike, i'm glad someone grabbed this shot. I was at home yesterday and my neighbours palms where in the way, so i couldn't have a go myself.
But you did an excellent job mate, very, very nice indeed.
All the best...........
Tony.............
