Bag for refractor

I’m looking for a bag for my refractor.

It’s 80mm aperture and a 650mm length.

Doesn’t have to be expensive as the tube itself isn’t worth much.

Can anyone recommend me or let me know when I can get one?

Thanks!
Stefan.

I've occasionally wondered whether one of those padded bags for camping chairs would be good for that.

I've bought a few of these for some of my refractors, seem like what you are after as well.

Hello Stefan,

I have a padded manfrotto tripod bag which would be excellent (perhaps a little tight) so thought that some of the padded tripod bags listed below may be suitable for your use. Check listing details for padding (some mention padded handle which would not be of much use if this was the only padding).

Bag for r/c helicopters?
Might be worth a look (e.g.) - https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-...150x220mm.html
They are made in much bigger sizes as well.
Cheers

Hi Stephan,

I got one recently for my 150mm refractor. This one: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/162211859887?ul_noapp=true
I can put it in with the finder and diagonal attached, and it is well made and well padded.
There are smaller ones here, for less than $20: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/60-70-80....c100005.m1851

They have free delivery too. Mine took about 2 weeks to arrive from China.

Lots cheaper than dedicated "telescope bags"!

All the best,

Dean
