I don't know what the quality is like but in general Illuminated Reticle EP's aren't of a high optical standard.

i am thinking of getting one too... now that i am goto.
I am htinking 9mm would be better for me tho... but maybe later.

I have one and it works fine for guiding. After all, you only want a good image in the centre and this eyepice gives a good sharp image.

I got the 12.5mm one from Bintel at IISAC. Haven't used it yet
